Passion Fruit, or commonly referred to as sundae I have 2 types.
Purple fruit (Passiflora edulis) and
The yellow (P.edulis f. Flavicarpa).
There are hybrids. Between yellow and purple that can adapt to the environment than the original. Kind of passion by taking advantage of the following.
1. Use fresh. Species include the purple. Results are rounded or oval. Diameter of about 4-5 cm, weight about 50 -60 grams, when ripe fruit is dark purple. A sweet taste and aroma than the yellow varieties. Rated to be eaten fresh.
2. Use processing type, the yellow Which is larger than the purple. Diameter of about 6 cm, weight about 80 to 120 grams of ripe yellow and thick. Meat in the juice with high acidity than the purple sour suitable for processing into juice drinks.
